About GoatHead Audio

GoatHead Audio is a mobile recording company based in Las Cruces, New Mexico. We record bands, solo artists, podcasters, and anyone else who needs professional audio captured at their location. No studio rental. No hourly clock. We load up the gear, drive to you, and get to work.

The idea started simple: musicians in southern New Mexico and El Paso deserve access to real recording without driving hours to Albuquerque or paying studio overhead. A mobile rig solves both problems. You play where you're comfortable. We handle the engineering.

You tell us when and where. We show up with a professional multi-channel recording interface, condenser and dynamic mics, stands, cables, headphones, and a portable monitoring setup. We mic your instruments, set levels, and track your session. After the session, you choose your deliverable: raw stems, a mixed stereo track, or a fully mixed and mastered release-ready file.

We price per song, not per hour. Sessions run 4 hours and typically cover 2-3 songs depending on how long tracking takes. No watching a meter run. You focus on playing.

Our home base is Las Cruces, NM. We regularly serve Las Cruces, Deming, El Paso, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe. We also travel to Alamogordo, Silver City, Roswell, and anywhere in between. If you're in New Mexico or the El Paso metro, we can get to you.

Beyond recording, we rent professional audio gear with local pickup in Las Cruces. Interfaces, microphones, preamps, and monitoring equipment. If you're running your own session or event and need reliable gear, check our rental catalog.
