GoatHead Audio provides professional multi-track recording at your location. We load up a full recording rig and bring it to wherever you play: rehearsal spaces, garages, venues, living rooms, churches, warehouses. Anywhere with power and a roof works.
What the Service Includes
Every recording session includes transport of all equipment to your location, full mic setup and sound check, multi-channel tracking through a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 interface with Behringer ADA8200 expansion, professional microphones (Shure SM7B, SM58, SM57, Beta 52A, Beta 91A, and more), headphone monitoring for all players, and session breakdown.
After tracking, you choose your deliverable: raw stems, a stereo mixdown, or a fully mixed and mastered file. All delivered digitally.

How a Session Works
You reach out with your project details: how many songs, how many musicians, your preferred dates and location. We send a quote. Per-song pricing, no hourly surprises.
On session day, we arrive early to load in and set up. Depending on band size and song count, setup takes 45-90 minutes. Then we track. Most bands get through 2-3 songs in a 4-hour session. After the last take, we break down the gear and deliver your files within the agreed timeline.
For mix and master deliverables, turnaround is typically 5 business days.
What You Receive
Stems ($50/song): Individual isolated tracks for every mic channel. WAV files, session-rate quality. You can mix these yourself or hand them to any engineer.
Mixdown ($100/song): A balanced stereo mix with levels, EQ, panning, and basic processing applied. Ready to share, submit, or send to a mastering house.
Mix & Master Basic ($150/song): Full production: mixed, mastered, and optimized for streaming and digital release. 5 business day turnaround.
Mix & Master Pro ($300/song): Premium production with detailed automation, advanced processing, and additional revision rounds. For releases where every detail matters.
Service Area
We're based in Las Cruces, NM. Our primary service area covers Las Cruces, Deming, El Paso, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe. We also travel to Alamogordo, Silver City, Roswell, Carlsbad, and anywhere else in New Mexico. If you can find it on a map, we can probably get there.
No travel fee within 50 miles of Las Cruces. Beyond 50 miles, we charge $1/mile round trip. Always quoted upfront.
