Demo Recording

Demos serve a specific purpose: they show people what your music sounds like. Labels, booking agents, venue talent buyers, playlist curators, fans. A good demo doesn't need to be a million-dollar production. It needs to be clean, clear, and representative of your sound.

    What Makes a Good Demo

A good demo captures the core of your songs without over-producing them. It should sound like your band on a good night: tight, in tune, and well-balanced. We handle the engineering to make that happen.

Most demos run 3-5 songs. That's enough to show range without overwhelming whoever's listening. Pick your strongest material. If you're not sure which songs to lead with, we can talk through it.

    Deliverables

For demos, Mix & Master Basic ($150/song) is usually the right tier. Release-ready quality without the premium price. Good enough for streaming, good enough for label submissions, good enough for booking agents.

If you just need reference tracks for your own use, stems ($50/song) or mixdown ($100/song) work too.

Setup fee: $100 per 4-hour session (covers 2-3 songs). Covers transport, setup, and breakdown.

Demo recording session: two musicians, bass and electric guitar. GoatHead Audio.

How to Prepare for a Demo Session

Know your songs cold. Practice with a metronome if timing is an issue. Bring fresh strings and drumheads. Tune before every take. Have a clear idea of how many songs you're tracking.

The less time we spend on setup issues and retakes, the more songs you get through in a session.
