EP & Album Recording
An EP or album is a bigger commitment than a single or demo, and it takes planning. Song selection, session scheduling, and budgeting all matter more when you're recording 5-12 songs instead of 2-3.

Session Planning
Most bands record 2-3 songs per 4-hour session. A 5-song EP typically takes 2 sessions. A 10-song album takes 4 sessions. We'll help you plan a schedule that works.
Sessions don't have to be back-to-back. Some bands knock out the whole EP in a weekend. Others spread sessions over weeks to allow rehearsal time between. Both approaches work. The recordings stay consistent because the same engineer and gear handle every session.
Budgeting Your Release
Setup fee: $100 per 4-hour session (covers 2-3 songs, transport, setup, sound check, breakdown).
Per-song rates: Stems: $50/song Mixdown: $100/song Mix & Master Basic: $150/song Mix & Master Pro: $300/song
Examples: 5-song EP (Mix & Master Basic): 2 sessions x $100 + 5 x $150 = $950 10-song album (Mix & Master Basic): 4 sessions x $100 + 10 x $150 = $1,900 10-song album (Stems only): 4 sessions x $100 + 10 x $50 = $900

Keeping It Consistent
When recording across multiple sessions, consistency matters. The same microphones, the same placement strategy, the same signal chain. Your album should sound like one cohesive project, not a collection of recordings from different rooms with different gear.
We document mic positions and settings from session one so every subsequent session matches. If you're recording at the same location each time, the room is already familiar and setup is faster.
Song Order and Flow
Think about your tracklist before recording, not after. The energy of an album has an arc. Opening tracks should grab attention. Middle tracks carry momentum. The closer leaves an impression.
Recording in tracklist order isn't required, but having the sequence in mind helps with decisions during the session. If track 3 is supposed to feel more subdued than track 2, knowing that ahead of time affects arrangement choices.
After Tracking
Once all sessions are done, mixing and mastering begin. For EPs and albums, we master the tracks as a set so loudness, tone, and spacing are consistent across the release. The final product plays as a cohesive body of work.
Turnaround for a full EP is typically 1-2 weeks after the final session. Albums may take longer depending on track count. We'll give you a timeline during booking.
